Studio Space Atlanta

Studio Space Atlanta rents cyc wall studios, green screen stages and sound stages to photographers and film and video crews at two metro Atlanta locations: its original facility on McCall Drive in Atlanta and a 25,000-square-foot WEST facility on Church Road SE in Smyrna. Together they hold seven rental studios with white, black and green cycs, a multi-stage with standing sets, and LED walls for virtual production. According to Studio Space Atlanta, the company has been in business for more than 18 years, and its Atlanta location has hosted AMC, ABC, Apple, Disney, CNN, Netflix and Nike.

Studios and cyc walls

• Studio 1: a private 40 x 20 x 16-foot cyc, half white and half black, with an attached wardrobe and makeup room; the studio says photographers favor this room.
• Studio 2: an 80-foot two-wall white cyc with vehicle access for up to two full-size cars, a 15-foot lighting grid and wraparound black stage curtains.
• Studio Green: a permanent 60-foot three-wall green screen cyc with vehicle access and pre-hung cyc lights.
• Studio 3: a 12,000-square-foot multi-stage with an 80-foot green cyc and standing sets such as a courtroom, jail cell, hospital room, bank vault, kitchen and a large sequin shimmer wall.
• WEST Studios 4, 5 and 6: a 150-foot three-wall white cyc that also works as an 8,000-square-foot black box, a 100-foot green cyc and an 80-foot black cyc, with 20- to 21-foot grids, scissor lifts and silent HVAC.

Lighting, power and rentals

Most stages offer pre-lights on dimmers, and studios include 600 to 1,800 amps of power distribution. An on-site inventory rents lighting, grip and props, and LED walls are available in Studio 2 and Studio 6 WEST.
