Park Studios 101

Park Studios 101 is a 1,400-square-foot natural-light studio and event space on Cherokee Avenue in Atlanta’s Grant Park neighborhood, rented for photography, video production and private gatherings. The Black woman-owned, family-operated studio is run by a mother-daughter team with backgrounds in film and TV hair and makeup and in event planning, and from 2022 to 2024 it was home to the Poetry on Peter open mic.

Studio and settings

• One open studio with several distinct settings, so a single booking can produce different looks.
• Natural light and a full kitchen that can be used for chef and food productions.
• Booked for portraits, product photography, brand content, interviews, podcasts and branded video.
• Bluetooth speakers are included; backdrops, furniture, lighting and props are confirmed for each booking.

Events

• Room for up to 100 people for celebrations, workshops, and corporate and community gatherings.
• A weekday event package includes tables, chairs and standard cleaning.
• Rentals with more than 10 people require exclusive use of the studio.

Services, booking and parking

Photography, hair styling, makeup and creative direction can be added to a booking. Photo sessions have a 2-hour minimum and events a 4-hour minimum, and setup and cleanup must fit within the booked time. Bookings start with an availability request on the studio’s site, walkthroughs are by appointment, and there is a parking lot as well as street parking.
