Chicago Podcast Studio

Chicago Podcast Studio is a video podcast studio on North Ravenswood Avenue on Chicago’s North Side, part of the production company Innova Digital. It offers six designed podcast and video sets across two studio units in the same building, and every session includes at least one in-house studio operator who runs the cameras, audio and live switching. According to Chicago Podcast Studio, it has completed more than 2,750 podcasts for over 700 clients, from large corporations to groups of friends, and its clients’ content has drawn more than 190 million views.

Podcast and video sets

• Summit: a colorful, modern set for one to three guests with three cameras, three microphones, an HDMI-connected TV for logos, custom colors and green room access, suited to VIP guests, events and live streams.
• Lounge: a relaxed set for up to four guests with three cameras, four microphones and a TV for logo placement.
• Venture: a techy, high-contrast set for serious one-on-one or group conversations, with three cameras, four microphones and green room access.
• Aura: a bright, airy set for one or two guests with three cameras.
• Haven and Spectrum: solo sets for direct-to-camera content, each with two cameras and a teleprompter; Haven adds a smart board for webinars, live streams and remote podcasts.

Cameras, microphones and switching

• Sony FX30, FX3, A7 V and a7 III cameras with Amaran studio lighting.
• Shure SM7B and Rode PodMic microphones on a Rodecaster Pro mixer.
• An ATEM Mini Pro Extreme ISO live switcher and a streaming computer for live broadcasts to any platform.

Sessions and booking

Sessions are booked online by set, duration and time, with a 90-minute minimum. A live-cut video and stereo mix are ready as soon as recording stops, and isolated camera and microphone files, editing and social clips can be added at checkout. The studio also films short-form, educational and product videos. Free parking is available in front of the building.
