Do You Validate

Do You Validate is a podcast studio and production company in the Encyclomedia building at 1526 DeKalb Avenue NE in Atlanta’s Little Five Points. Led by comedian, producer and editor Joel Ruiz, the studio specializes in comedy podcasts and also records business shows, and it runs the Do You Validate network of shows, including Critical Bits, Oddity Roadshow, Riff Tank and SS Bad Ship. Outside podcasters can rent the studio with its equipment, lighting and custom setup, or book the team for hourly, half-day or full-day production.

Audio and video

• Audio: six Shure SM7B microphones with Triton FetHead boosters, routed through a Zoom L8 so each microphone records to its own track; the studio supports up to six guests.
• Video: up to three synchronized Panasonic GH5 cameras recording 4K for standard sessions, and three Blackmagic 6K Pro cameras for comedy specials, album tapings and higher-end productions.
• Set and decor: a range of decor and seating options styled to each show, with custom furniture or decor stored at the studio for regular clients.

Services

Every session includes an on-site A/V engineer, with on-the-spot file transfers and editing packages up to same-day turnaround. Do You Validate also produces promos, commercials, PSAs, conference coverage, live streams and music and event coverage.
