Trilith Studios

Lux Stage at Trilith Studios is the LED volume and virtual production stage on the Trilith Studios lot at 400 Veterans Parkway in Fayetteville, Georgia, south of Atlanta. According to Trilith, its virtual stages sit in a Creative Technologies district of purpose-built stages and are set up for film and episodic, commercial, broadcast and live event work built around in-camera VFX (ICVFX).

LED volumes

• Stage 22, full LED volume: a fully enclosed virtual production volume of 80 by 90 by 26 feet inside an 18,000-square-foot purpose-built sound stage, with a 360-degree LED wrap that includes an LED ceiling and room for large set pieces.
• Stage 20, single curved wall: a high-resolution curved LED wall with integrated playback, set up for quick load-in and tighter shoots.

According to Lux Machina, which designed the Lux Stage, the LED ceiling can be split and moved as independent units, sections of the screen can be opened up for lights, cameras or stunt rigging, and the stage runs on Lux Machina’s ARCA media servers for both video plate playback and game-engine environments.

Creative services

Trilith’s creative technologies team offers script-to-screen support for the virtual stages: breakdown and planning, concept and design, pre-vis and tech-vis, LED content creation, and post-production and VFX. Trilith lists features, brands, creators, music videos and events among the productions the stages serve.

The Trilith lot

Trilith Studios lists 30 sound stages on its Fayetteville campus, along with workshops, production offices, backlots and on-site studio vendors, so LED volume work can be paired with conventional stage space. Virtual stage bookings go through Trilith’s leads desk and contact page.
