CenterStaging

CenterStaging is a rehearsal studio and backline rental campus at 3400 Winona Avenue in Burbank, within walking distance of Hollywood Burbank Airport. It describes itself as Los Angeles’ premier rehearsal and backline facility, specializing in production and technical support for television and live performances, and says top artists have prepared their shows here for more than two decades. According to CenterStaging, it has provided backline and technical support for the GRAMMY Awards, the Academy Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, American Idol, The Voice and the Super Bowl.

Rehearsal studios

The campus has 12 acoustically treated rehearsal studios, from 627 to 3,000 square feet, each with a production office.

• Studios 11, 13 and 14: the largest rooms, 50 by 60 feet with 16-foot ceilings and two production offices each.
• Studios 6, 8 and 10: about 2,300 square feet with 15-foot ceilings. Studio 6 has an oak hardwood dance floor, and Studio 10 has its own green room.
• Studios 1 and 2: 39 by 53 feet with 13-foot ceilings.
• Studio 12: 1,862 square feet with a 49-foot mirror wall for dance rehearsals.
• Studios 3, 7 and 9: smaller rooms of 627 to 1,216 square feet.

Most rooms have a Meyer monitor system with side-fills and floor wedges, Avid SC48, DiGiCo SD9 or Midas M32 consoles, Par 64 lighting and isolated three-phase power. Some studios have a private restroom and kitchenette, and the rooms also host live streams, video shoots, showcases and corporate events.

Backline and services

CenterStaging rents what it calls California’s largest inventory of show-ready backline, from guitars, drums and keyboards to DJ gear and piano shells, with on-site backline and audio technicians, cartage and artist relations offices for instrument brands.

Amenities, hours and booking

The W Lounge cafe offers food, coffee and catering, and each studio has reserved parking, with an overflow lot for trucks and buses. Studios are open 9 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, and rent by the day, week or month through an online request form.
