xTribe

xTribe is a coworking space and creator studio complex on the second floor of 231 South La Brea Avenue in Inglewood, above the Awakening cafe. It rents podcast studios, film sets, offices and meeting rooms by the hour, day, week or month, and anyone can book without a membership.

Coworking and membership

The quiet coworking floor has 62 desks, each with a 27-inch pivoting screen and built-in AC and USB-C power, plus four phone booths; calls, meetings and food stay off the desks. Drop-in visitors can buy a day pass. The monthly membership adds a private desk, more flexible rescheduling, access to lenses and accessories for shoots, and member events such as live shows, comedy nights, screenings and mixers. Students can join the same membership with a school email.

Podcast studios and sets

• Podcast Studio North and South East: three velvet armchairs, bookshelves, Blackmagic cameras, a RodeCaster Pro and an ATEM Mini switcher for live switching and streaming.
• Podcast Studio South: a live-stream studio with acoustic walls, two tables seating four and a producer table.
• Podcast Stage: four spinning armchairs arranged in facing pairs.
• Green Screen Studio: a film, photo and editing studio with acoustic treatment, a green screen, lighting and 4K cameras.
• yTribe Yoga & Fitness Studio: a photo and video studio with wooden beams, vaulted ceilings and skylights, next to a yoga studio with a projector and speakers.
• Awakening Cyber Patio: a neon-lit patio with tables, sofas and arch chairs.

A meeting room for 10 to 12 people and private offices are also bookable, and the whole coworking floor, with its event stage and kitchen, can be rented.

Hours and booking

xTribe is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Spaces are booked online or in the xTribe app, and free 15-minute tours of the studios and coworking floor can be scheduled on the site.
