Members' club with a Trident 88 live room, rehearsal and podcast rooms in Santa Monica
The Recording Club is a members’ club in Santa Monica that pairs four recording, rehearsal and podcast studios with co-working space, a lounge and a wellness floor. It grew out of Tiny Room Studios, founded by pianist Greg Spero, and calls itself a luxury creative space membership club. Members book the rooms against monthly studio credits, and staff prepare each room before a session begins.
Studios
Gear across the building includes a Coles 4038, a Neumann U87 Ai, two Yamaha grands, a Fender Rhodes, a Moog, PMC monitoring and Blackmagic 6K cameras.
Membership
Membership tiers return monthly studio credits that roll over, and every tier includes the lounge, mezzanine, kitchen, gym and patio, a sauna and cold plunge, small-group training with the house trainer three times a day, weekly member evenings and the club app for booking rooms. Engineers and add-ons are billed separately. To join, prospective members inquire or book a 30-minute tour; applications are reviewed monthly and membership is extended by invitation.
Private hire
The studios, lounges and stage are also available for half-day and full-day buyouts, activations and events, with house engineers and A/V crew, catering and bar, and multi-camera capture and streaming. Parking is on site.
Hours
Rooms are booked in two-hour minimums. The club is open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m., and closed Mondays.
