Distribution Hall

Distribution Hall is a studio and event venue at 1500 East 4th Street in East Austin’s entertainment district. The restored mid-century building was originally constructed to house Austin’s first German beer importer and now holds a 6,250-square-foot studio warehouse, a 2,750-square-foot open-air hangar and a 10,000-square-foot courtyard and lawn. For photo, film and video productions, the warehouse has a pre-lit infinity wall that Distribution Hall calls the largest in downtown, with a client production office and green room alongside and urban backdrops just outside its back doors. The same spaces host conferences, markets, brand activations and celebrations for up to 1,000 guests.

Studio production

• Infinity wall: 30 x 27 x 12 ft, pre-lit with color temperature control.
• Power: over 500 amps of un-metered power, a 300-amp distribution box with 3-phase power, 50-amp lunchboxes and 50-amp plugs throughout, and 20-amp plugs at 2 and 12 feet.
• Client production office: lounge and desk space.
• Green room: full vanity, lounge, private bathroom and wardrobe racks.

Building and amenities

• Solid concrete floors for drive-in loading and a load-bearing truss for AV or decor.
• On-site parking, with more in adjacent garages.
• High-bandwidth wireless internet, a catering prep area and ADA access.
• Security, janitorial and porter service.
