Hubble Studio

Hubble Studio rents photo and film stages on South Clarence Street in Boyle Heights, just outside the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles. Its site carries a 2014 copyright, and the studio describes itself as a hub for creativity for the past decade. Alongside four stages, a gallery and a production office, Hubble runs an equipment rental house, an event production team, a creative agency, podcast services and a clothing shop. Stages

• Stage 1: more than 4,000 square feet (66 by 72 feet, 23 feet high) with two skylights, a two-wall white cyc, a production loft overlooking the stage, 400-amp power and Bose surround speakers.
• Stage 2: the large soundstage, more than 5,000 square feet (48 by 93 feet, 23 feet high), black and sound-treated, with 1,600 amps of three-phase power.
• Stage 3: a smaller daylight stage of more than 1,300 square feet with two skylights, a single white cyc and 200-amp power.
• Stage 4: the largest at 5,200 square feet, with a large two-wall white cyc, a client area with a conference table, private restrooms and a private lot for nine cars that doubles as an outdoor shooting space.
• Gallery: a 1,486-square-foot naturally lit lobby between Stages 3 and 4, used for crew catering, a client lounge or art shows.

Support spaces

Clients on Stages 1 and 2 can also use a small backstage soundstage with a grid, a television and a private bathroom, two custom-designed VIP green rooms and a hair and makeup room with three built-in glamour stations. The production office has Wi-Fi and a kitchenette, and clients can use on-site parking and an outdoor patio.

Equipment and events

Hubble Equipment Rentals, on the same block of Clarence Street, rents grip and electric, photo and motion equipment, expendables and production supplies. The events team handles product launches and brand experiences, from set and stage design to staffing and on-site installation.
