Photopia Studios

Photopia Studios is a photography rental studio at 7819 South Highland Drive in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, near Salt Lake City with easy freeway access. The studio has 2,500 square feet of shooting space across three bays, more than 18 backgrounds, and more than 35 props, and it combines natural light with studio lighting. It is used for family, bridal, engagement, maternity, boudoir, product, boutique, headshot, and commercial photography.

Natural Light Studio

A 500 sq ft white space with 14 ft ceilings, a 9 x 10 ft industrial window, white-washed wood floors, a 12 x 18 ft white wall, 9 ft double barn doors, a mystic wave wall, a 3D wall, and a wainscoting accent wall. It is also fitted with film-grade lighting for consistent results at any time of day.

Bay One

A 1,000 sq ft space in warm tones with 14 ft ceilings, oak floors, a barn wood wall, an antiqued pine wall, red and mocha accent walls, 9 ft double barn doors, a queen bed, and a 12 x 10 ft overhead softbox.

Bay Two

A 1,000 sq ft space designed for texture and drama, with 14 ft ceilings, floral walls, a patinated industrial steel plate, a black 3D wall, a concrete wall, a two-tone wainscoting wall, and slate-style floors.

Equipment and policies

Flashpoint AD600 strobes, light stands, modifiers, and all props are included with a rental. The single-floor building has large double doors for bringing in props. Bookings are made online up to 60 days ahead, and each rental covers one photographer or videographer, with additional shooters available as an add-on. Pets are welcome, while glitter and open flames are not allowed.

Memberships and events

Photopia also offers memberships, photography training, and a free content night on the last Tuesday of every month, and the studio can be booked for classes, trainings, and parties.
