Coworking, podcast and content studio, and filming venue in a 1926 building on 3rd Street
Rita House is a coworking space, podcast and content studio, and filming and event venue on West 3rd Street in Los Angeles. It occupies a 1926 Spanish Colonial building that, according to Rita House, was built as a prop design studio for film and television, later became a violin factory, and in 1967 became the design studio of award-winning costume designer Rita Riggs. Architects Tash Rahbar and Scott Strumwasser, who have run their practice in the building for over three decades, restored it and opened Rita House in 2017. In 2024 it added Rita House Productions, a full-service studio for podcasting, self-tapes and content creation.
