History
Sunset Studios says the lot was home to Rin Tin Tin and Warner Bros.’ radio station KFWB, and kept producing Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies after Warner Bros. moved to Burbank. Gene Autry’s Golden West Broadcasters bought it in 1967 and kept the original executive building and radio tower. Hudson Pacific acquired the lot in 2008 and restored the white-columned Warner executive building on Sunset Boulevard; the 14-story ICON tower, completed in 2017, is Netflix’s Los Angeles headquarters. Sunset Studios names Netflix, CBS and KTLA among the lot’s occupants and says Sunset Bronson was one of the first studios in the world to earn BAFTA albert’s Studio Sustainability Standard.
