Multi-camera podcast studio backstage at The Creek and The Cave comedy club, downtown
The Creek and The Cave Podcast Studio sits backstage at The Creek and The Cave, the comedy club on East 7th Street in downtown Austin. The studio offers professional audio and multi-camera video podcast production with producers and editors on hand, and outside shows can rent it through an inquiry form on the club’s website. The Creek began in Long Island City, Queens, where Rebecca Trent took over the club in 2006, and it reopened in downtown Austin in April 2021.

Comedy history
In Queens, the club’s Cave Comedy Radio gave early opportunities to budding podcasters and broadcasters, and its developmental series Week at the Creek gave performers time to work on new material. According to the club, Shane Gillis recorded his debut special, Live in Austin, on its Austin stage, and Jay Larson, Nick Callas and Vanessa Gonzalez filmed specials there, along with GaS Digital’s half-hour specials and a taping of Tom Segura’s stand-up series.
Booking
Shows request studio time through the podcast studio form, noting whether they are planning a new show, recording an existing one, or need video production or editing support. The club says it replies within 24 hours.
