Three-room podcast, vodcast and voice-over studio in Culver City since 2012
The Network Studios (TNS) is a podcast, vodcast and voice-over recording studio on West Slauson Avenue in Culver City. Michael Casentini founded it in January 2012 in his one-bedroom apartment, with four microphones and a roster of mostly comedic talent, and it later moved into a 1,500-square-foot facility with three sound-conditioned rooms set up for multi-camera video, chroma key and live streaming. According to TNS, it has recorded more than 13,000 episodes. Every room records audio at 44.1 or 48 kHz and video in 1080p or 4K ProRes, and the studio’s engineers run the equipment.
Recording rooms
All three rooms have Shure SM7B microphones and branding monitors and can connect remote guests over Zoom.
Services
Beyond in-studio rentals, TNS offers audio and video editing, color and audio syncing, line cuts and consulting for people building their own studios. The rooms can also be rented by the day as a filming location for independent film productions, and outside equipment is allowed.
Hours and parking
The studio is open by appointment Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is closed on Sundays. It is on the second floor of 5701 West Slauson Avenue, near the 405 and 90 freeway interchange, with plenty of free parking next to the building.
